What have you been up to since high school?:
I graduated from SMSU in Springfield in 1986.  1987 I took a job as a Flight Attendant with American Airlines.  After graduation in Dallas, I went to Chicago where I lived until June 2000.  Living in Chicago, I met my husband Chris.  We were married May 9, 1992.  While working for American Airlines I flew both domestically and internationally.  I formally ‘retired’ May of 1999, however, I took many leaves after the birth of our first child in August of 1994.  In 2000 my husband had a job opportunity in the Minneapolis area, and here we are in the frozen tundra!  Actually, we love it.  It is beautiful. There are many fun outdoor activities, good schools, etc.  Our most recent addition to our family is our pooch, Samson.  I always wanted a house dog!!  Since living in Eden Prairie, I’ve become much more active in church and school volunteer activities.

What have you been up to since high school?:
What a long strange trip it has been. I got married two weeks after graduation. That lasted four years, but it was a learing experience.
Shortly thereafter developeed a severe case of wanderlust which seemed to keep taking me east. There best part of my travels was going to my birthplace of Germany. It was an exciting time! You have no idea what it was like to have been there when the wall came down!!!The feelings of joy and happiness shared by everyone was indescribable. Too bad the world has lost that feeling!
My travels finally led me to the wonderful state of Tennessee where I find my home. I think this state has some of the most friendly people I have ever seen.

Words of  wisdom:

What have you been up to since high school?:
Graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Architectural Engineering; moved to Los Angeles, California in 1987 to spend the next 12 years working for a commercial real estate developer.  While at that job, I worked my way up from Construction Manager, to Property Manager, to Portfolio Manager, and finally to Vice President.  During my first year in LA, I met my future bride and after 3 years of dating, we were married in 1991.  While working, I attended Claremont Graduate University (Peter F. Drucker School of Management) and obtained my MBA in Finance.  After a short stint as the Executive Vice President of a local LA property management company, I have spent the past two years with a couple of different companies leading real estate transactions for Bank of America throughout the Southwestern United States.

One of the exciting work events this past year was the closing of a 705,000 square foot, multi-million dollar deal that I orchestrated between Bank of America and the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).  The 30-story office tower is soon to become the new headquarters for the LAUSD.

My lovely bride and I have two kids, both girls, ages 3 and 4 ½.  We reside in our home of 11 years in Woodland Hills, California.

I'm not sure those memories should be in print but they were great times with lots of good friends.
What have you been up to since high school?:
Well I started on my college education at SEMO in Cape Girardeau where I attended for 3 years on and off.  In between I was married and then quickly divorced.  Live and learn!  Then I began working professionaly for the Girl Scout organization in Sikeston, MO.  This is about the time Mitch and I crossed paths.  So we could be closer to each other I moved to Springfield while he finished college.  We were married in 1991 and moved to Kansas City to start Mitch's career with Farmland Ind.  At this time I went back to college and finished my degree in Leisure Management.  When I graduated college I was 8 months pregnant with our first child Shelby.  Then about two years later we were blessed with our son Shane.  Again we were off and moving but this time to a place were I said I would never live.  KANSAS.  To tell you the truth I actually like it.  We moved to a little town called Marquette and lived there for 7 years and have just recently moved to another little town called Westmoreland.  I am now living in an old stone home built in 1877.  Who would have guessed that I would end up in Kansas married to Mitch with two lovely children.  Not me, but its true.

Learn to appreciate the time you are given with your loved ones and don't forget to tell them how important they are.
