What have you been up to since high school?:
After graduation I stayed in Rolla to attend UMR where I studied Electrical
Engineering and was active in the Air Force ROTC program. Upon graduation
in May 87, I married the love of my life the former Julie Weisel. We moved
to Jefferson City where I sold computers until I entered active duty in
January 88. From there we have been all over the world. We have lived in
IL, WA, Guam (US territory), OH, MS, and NC. We have visited Japan, Hawaii,
Palau, South Korea, and Canada. I have also made trips to the UK, Wake
Island, Philippines, and Alaska. I have held several positions in aircraft
maintenance. Besides this I have had the opportunity to be on the initial
acquisition of the T-6A, Texan II aircraft and work a special project on the
F-117 aircraft. I Dec 97 I received a MBA from Wright State University.
For two years I ran a non-profit charitable organization called Christmas
Drop which delivered toys, food, tools, clothing, books, etc... to over 50
islands in the South Pacific. Currently I am the squadron commander of the

and launches primarily C-5, C-17, C-130, and C-141 aircraft in support of
the 82 Airborne Division. I am currently serving our great nation at the
rank of Major. Julie and I homeschool our three wonderful children.

Name: Deborah Lockridge
Spouse Name: Evan
City: Birmingham
State: Al
Children & ages: Expecting our first at the end of September --
which is why I probably won't be at the reunion!
Occupation: Freelance writer & editor
Hobbies/Interests: Cooking (friends and family regard me as somewhat of
a gourmet cook); eating out (we run a local restaurant website,
www.bhamdining.com); reading,
especially science fiction.
Favorite high school memories:
Working on the ECHO;
playing video games at the arcade (Centipede, Looping, Pac-Man, Galaga,
Tempest, Tron); German Club; having parties where there wasn't any alcohol
but everyone acted so crazy you would have thought the M&M's were spiked;
making some very good friends, one of whom I still count as a best friend
even today.
What have you been up to since high school?:
I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor's in
Journalism in 1986 and got married a few weeks after. For five years I
worked on a tiny magazine for small farmers, where I got lots of experience
but little money. In 1990 I followed my husband's job to Tuscaloosa,
Alabama. (I know, Tusca-what??) There I got a job writing & editing for a
trucking magazine. Certainly not what I would have predicted for myself, but
it's actually a fascinating industry. I even got to go on a couple of
business trips to Europe. I'm still in trucking, but am now working at home
as a freelancer for a different company, along with a few other projects.
Divorced my first husband in 1991 and married Evan in 1992. We moved to
Birmingham in 1994, bought our first house in 1997, and for the last four
years have been working together with our own small communications business.
We have three cats, and we're expecting our first child in late September.

Name: David Johnston
Spouse Name: Andrea
City: Lone Jack
State: Mo
Children & ages: Jared (4 years)
Occupation: Network Manager
Hobbies/Interests: Playing guitar, remodeling/fixing up the house, yard
work. We live on 10 acres so I’d better like yard work. Playing with my son.
Favorite high school memories:
Playing basketball with
friends until 2 in the morning; tennis with coach Ravenscraft; eating
donuts in the cafeteria before school; switching classes with my brother and
nobody knowing.
What have you been up to since high school?:
After high school I went to the University of Missouri-Rolla and graduated
in 1986 with a degree in Computer Science. I worked at the
University Computer Center to pay my way through school and found that I
liked the university environment. So after graduation I applied for a
computer programming job and was hired by the University of Missouri-Kansas
City. I moved to Lee’s Summit, a suburb of KC, and that’s where I meet my
wife Andrea. We have been married for 12 years and have a great son Jared
who is 4.
I couple of year ago we bought a house on 10 acres and have been fixing it
up ever since. My son loves to help and gets involved with every project.
He hands me tools or runs to the garage to get something I forgot. After
gutting the inside of the house then rewiring, plumbing, sheet rock, laying
tile and hardwood floors, painting, hanging wall paper, ceiling fans, and
light fixtures it’s looking pretty good. The latest project is bricking the
outside of the house. We finished about 3/4 of the brick work last fall and
will complete the job this spring as soon as the weather turns warm.
At work I have been lucky and promoted a few times, moved from programming
to computer networking. I’m currently the Network Manager for the
University and guest lecture in Computer Science classes. Most of my time
is spent trying to keep the network up 24/7 but last fall I presented a
paper on Voice over IP implementations at the Great Plains Networking
conference and recently coauthored a paper on A Frame Work for Emergency 911
services in a PBX LAN Environment.
Words of wisdom:
I don’t think I have any
great words of wisdom but I do know that you are never too old to learn
something new and chance favors the prepared mind.

What have you been up to since high school?:
Went to UMR for 4 years to get my B.S. Degree in Computer Science. After
graduation I spent 2 years writing software for a small company.
Developing the software was fun but I had to spend alot of time driving
around MO supporting our customers (mostly primary and secondary schools).
Decided it would be a good idea to get a Masters degree so I took a job back
at UMR doing UNIX system administration. While I was there for about 6 years
I got my Masters in Engineering Management. I also got married in 1991 to
my wonderful wife of 11 years Marla. After we both graduated with M.S.
degrees we moved to Michigan. We live about 5 minutes from the University
of Michigan Football staduim just out side of Ann Arbor. After doing
computer consulting work (mostly for Ford) for 2 years, they liked my work
so much they hired me. I have been working in Computer Software Quality
Assurance for Ford Motor Company ever since ( the last 8 years).
Words of wisdom:
50% or more of any
project is labor cost. Save yourself some money and do it yourself.

???????????????
What have you been up to since high school?:
I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday, and you want to know about
the past 20 years???? Well, after high school I remained in Rolla and
worked as a legal secretary for about 3 years. Then I moved to North
Carolina and worked there for about 5 years. After a major disappointment
in my life, I moved back to Rolla working and taking some classes. It was
then that I met and married my wonderful husband, Curtis in 1992 and
received my MRS degree. After he graduated from UMR, we moved to Kentucky
to begin his engineering career. In '93 our first child, Ryan was born and
Rachel followed in '95. I became a stay-at-home mom after Ryan was born and
that has evolved into home schooling. My husband and I are very involved
with our church in children ministries. We teach Sunday School and help
lead scouts.
