Children & ages: Ashley, 17, and Alicia, 15
Occupation: The Frame Shop Gallery and Accessory Shop
Hobbies/Interests: Art, music, writing
Favorite high school memories:
Because of many hours
spent roaming Rolla on long lunches with my sweety, I was surprised to
realize at the end of the first semester that I had no painting to turn in
to my fourth hour wonder-teacher, Mr. Strebeck. My solution (shared with
absolutely NO ONE until recently) was to sneak a “Life” magazine out of the
library, rip out a picture, glue it to a canvas, then add some touches of
thick acrylic paint to give it texture. The next morning I hung it as high
on the wall as I could reach. Mr. Strebeck graded my painting. I got an “A”.
And I took it down and out of there before anyone could inspect what an
awesome job I had done.
What have you been up to since high school?:
Working like a dog. Does that impress anyone?

What have you been up to since high school?:
On July 24th
following graduation, I married my best friend and high school sweetheart,
Rick Cremer. We will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary
this year. On May 21, 1983, our daughter Katlin was born. She will be 19
this year and will be a sophomore at East Central College. On March 25,
1985, our son Chris was born. He will be 17 this year and will be a senior
at Rolla High School. Rick and I still reside in Rolla, and own and operate
the Rolla Dairy Queen franchise. We are members of Oak Meadow Country Club,
where I am currently serving on the board. We enjoy golfing and spending
time with our children. I also make and collect porcelain dolls in my free
time. If I had to do anything over again, I would not change a thing. I am
extremely blessed with my husband, who is still my best friend, and two
children who are all I could have wished for.

Spouse Name:
Rick
City: State: Rolla, Mo.
Children & ages:
Jessica (15), Brandon (10)
Occupation:
I have assisted my husband in running our own business for
the past 15 years. It was previously called B&L Office Machines, but
recently renamed to New World Consulting Group. It is a computer networking
Company. We have a small, but devoted client base. However, I will soon be
venturing out & starting a new job at Honda Polaris in bookkeeping &
continuing to assist my husband as needed.
Hobbies/Interests:
When weather permits, I dabble around with some golfing with
my friends and my family. We love to vacation in warm, tropical places. I
love to scuba dive, although I am just an “amateur”. I love watching
movies, spending time w/ friends & family, dancing, camping (although I have
to force my husband!), canoeing, boating etc…
Favorite high school memories:
Just hanging out with my friends. I was kind of quiet otherwise.
What have you been up to since high school?:I
started working at the Country Club when I was only 15. That is where I met
my husband. I worked there for 3 years, then worked for Powell Lumber, Forum
Video & Smillie & Associates. Once I got married, I joined my husband in
his office equipment business, where I have been ever since, until just
recently when I started a new job @ Honda. I have 2 wonderful kids. Jessica
is 15 and she is very special. She has a heart of gold & would do anything
for anyone. She loves kids & devotes much of her time to babysitting.
Brandon is 10 & he is also a great kid. He is into sports of all kinds and
has more energy than I ever had. Both of my kids are great golfers, thanks
to their Dad. Believe it or not, I have lived here pretty much all my life.
I lived in St. Louis for a few years, but other than that, it’s been good
ole Rolla! But we actually are very comfortable here.
When we vacation, we usually go somewhere in the Carribean. We’ve been to
St. Martin a few times, St. Barths, Cancun & Nassau. We learned to Scuba
dive a few years ago & we fell in love with it. When we vacation with the
kids, we usually go to Florida.
Words of wisdon:
Cut up your credit cards, cut up your cigarettes, have a glass of wine (or
2!), don’t stop exercising, love your kids (they grow up so fast), save some
money & go on a nice vacation with people you love to be with!

Name: Amy Niemira
Spouse Name: Jim
City: Evanston
State: IL
Children & ages: William Joseph, 13 (I can't believe I'm the mother
of a teenager)
Sylvia Lea, 10
Occupation: ACT/SAT instructor, mom, homemaker
Hobbies/Interests: Playing saxophone, playing music and singing with my
family,
reading history, gardening, volunteering at my kids' schools, taking them to
and being an audience for their activities, church activities, and
occasional naps!
Favorite high school memories:
All my band activities:
marching band shows and contests, District and State solo competition,
Whitewater and Chicago (I live in Evanston, which is where we stayed during
our trip to Whitewater and Chicago).
What have you been up to since high school?:
I was glad to get out of high school. By my senior year, I had gotten very
tired of it. I went to UMR and loved it. I majored in English, played
recorder, krummhorn, and flute in the Collegium Musicum, participted ion the
Madrigal dinners, played sax in the wind ensemble, and went to fraternity
parties. I met my future husband, Jim, in October of 1982. At the time I
had no intention of getting married until I was at least 25, but I soon
changed my mind. We got married in May, 1985, only one week after Jim
graduated with a BS in electrical engineering. We moved to Chicago for the
summer where both of us had summer internships at S & C Electric Company.
We then moved to Troy, New York, where JIm received a master's in electric
power engineering. In fall of 1986 we returned to Chicago and I received my
BA in English from Dominican University in May of 1987. I went to work
editing college economics textbooks. We moved to Evanston and I had Will in
1988 and then Sylvia in 1991. I stayed home with them until Will started
kindergarten, and then I returned to work part time teaching review classes
for the ACT and SAT.
I'm very busy with my family now. Will plays electic guitar and
saxophone in the middle school jazz band. It's fun to see my children enjoy
some of the same acitivities I did. He is very good at math and will take
high school honors geometry at Evanston Township High School this fall (As
Coach Reed could tell you, he gets that talent from his dad, not me).
Sylvia plays piano and tap dances. She also sings in the Evanston
Children's Chorus. They made their first CD this month. She is also a good
studnet. I feel very fortunate to have such great kids! I'm busy driving
them to activities, friend's houses, etc.
Besides work and kids, I do volunteer work for First United Methodist
Church in Evanston. I organize the family camp in Michigan and help with
the children's choir and handbell choir. My kids are involved in these. My
husband sings in the choir and he and Will play guitar for summer worship.
I also appeared in a TV commercial (much to the embarrassment of my
children). It was for Amazing Savings, a small chain of stores in the
Chicagoland area. I was the crabby shopper who yelled that she wouldn't pay
retail prices. It was corny but a lot of fun to do.
I celebrated my 17th wedding anniversary May 18!
Words of wisdom:
Don't listen to people
who try to make important decisions for you! If you feel like you're doing
the right thing, you probably are, even if it's not what everyone else is
doing.

What have you been up to since high school?:
After high school I attended UMR for two years and transferred to
UM-Columbia where I graduated with a BSed in special education. I was also
married during this time, but am no longer. I have taught for the past 15
years in the state of Missouri, with the past six years teaching 8th graders
with learning disabilities in Jefferson City. In August of this year I will
earn a Master's Degree in the area of counseling. My biggest
accomplishements are my children. Through them I get to see glimpses of God
each day. Without them what other excuse would I have to build forts,
fingerpaint or believe in Santa Claus?

What have you been up to since high school?:
.): I was engaged my senior year of high school. I went to college at SMSU
for one semester after high school graduation. I moved back to Rolla and
got married to my ex-husband in 1983 after he graduated from UMR. We moved
to Texas for his job, then moved to Illinois for a better job. Then I got a
divorce (my ex is a wonderful man just for the record). I went to college
at UMSL part-time (off and on) but never finished. I lived in St. Louis
from 1986-1993. I became a Christian in 1993 and was saved by my Lord and
personal Savior, Jesus Christ and for that I’m eternally grateful. I lived
in San Antonio, TX from 1993-1995. While living in San Antonio when I was
30 years old I had cancer and I’m thankful for the experience this life
brings. I moved back to St. Louis in 1995 to present. I bought a condo
five years ago that I’m so thankful for. My second half of my life will
begin as a single parent with a baby boy. My life will be changed forever!
As far as
travel – my favorite experience was going to Copenhagen, Denmark for 16
days, Hawaii, Bahamas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Lake Tahoe, NV and Brianshead,
UT for snow ski trips, and various other states for business trips and
vacation.
