Reunion Information

Dear Classmates:

The count down has begun . . . 4 months until our 20th Reunion! Attached are the agenda, sign up form, t-shirt order form and another copy of the questionnaire I sent out in January. A full weekend has been planned. Attend as many events as you would like, but definitely don’t miss the main event Saturday evening.

Did you take the opportunity to check out our very own website yet? www.rollaclassof82.com It’s awesome! Ken Isaac has done an outstanding job so be sure to thank Ken for all his hard work and dedication to make the site a success. He certainly has made my life easier in planning the reunion and I’m so grateful. All information regarding the reunion will be posted on the website. The website will be available after the reunion to view any photos taken during the weekend or comments anyone would like to post. Be sure to bring your camera and take lots of pictures!

If you are a procrastinator and haven’t filled out the questionnaire yet, get busy – your classmates are waiting to find out what you’ve been up to! The questionnaire will be published in a booklet and will be given to you at the reunion. The deadline date to submit your questionnaire is June 15 in order to get the booklets formatted and printed. Preferably, fill it out on the website www.rollaclassof82.com  OR if you do not have access to a computer you can mail it. In addition, if you have a current photo of yourself to post with your questionnaire, please scan and submit to Ken at webmaster@infinityok.com  or you can mail it to

A 20th Reunion t-shirt is available if you would like to purchase one (no obligation). The order form is attached and the deadline is July 1. I thought it would be a fun idea to wear them on Saturday for the tour of the High School and picnic to show our RHS Bulldog spirit!

Saturday evening we will have a D.J. and he will take requests! Therefore, if you have a song from the past you would like to hear please submit the name of the song/group on our website and I will give the D.J. a list to prepare the music selection. The D.J. will make every attempt to play your request.

Details for the canoe float trip are as follows. We will float on the Current River and will use Akers Ferry Canoe Rental-website: www.currentrivercanoe.com. Directions: Hwy. 72 South to Salem, Hwy. 19 South to Hwy. KK, turn right then go 6 miles. From Rolla, it’s about a 1-hour drive. You are responsible for making all your own arrangements, reservation, payment, food, drinks, etc. You can make a reservation (if cancel, must be by Tuesday before that Sunday) by calling 800-365-2537 or 573-858-3224 and tell them that you are with the RHS 20th Reunion on Sunday, August 4. It should not be a busy day for them due to the end of the season; therefore a reservation is not necessary but better safe than sorry. The Sunday rate is $35 per canoe for two people. Meet at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the “72 Center” where Gordoz and David Myers Clinic are located (back in ’82 it was the IGA grocery store) down Hwy. 72 South and where Salem road ends if you want to caravan. We will start floating at 10:00 a.m. (if we get there too late then we can’t get on the river until NOON I was told). If we take our time, the float will probably take 5 hours. We should be back in Rolla around 5:00 p.m.

 

If needed, below is some hotel information for you to make your own reservations.  Of course there are a lot of other hotels, and that are cheaper, but I just wanted to offer you a few.
